Rest

No alarm this morning.  I pulled a very-unlike-Cathy move and skipped church.  After the long, stressful drive home last night, I just wanted to breathe in the morning air and rest.  Move at a snail's pace.  Have quiet time alone while my roommate was at church.

I listened to a podcast about comparison (it was amazing) and did one of the days of my Beth Moore study.  I washed laundry, swept the living room and kitchen, and began preparations for some great lunches for the week.

I just wanted a slow morning.  Before the rush of the week begins, just a slow, quiet Sunday morning.  It was heavenly!

Quiet Sunday mornings are sometimes just as much a religious experience as actually attending church - sometimes MORE. Glad you had this special moment.

Sometimes it is the simple things that bring the most pleasure. This is definitely a slice of inner peace and calm. I hope your week follows suit!

Hey, I can't blame you. I'm not sure God said that we had to go to church. Sunday is a day of rest. I liked what you said. Thanks for sharing! Happy Slicing! :)

We were skippers today too...which is abnormal. I'm glad you're enjoying the Beth Moore study (she's fantastic) and that you were able to get some rest...even if you weren't lying around doing nothing. Have a good week and enjoy those lunches. BTW: What did you make? I'm in search of some new ideas...
