Changes

I ran a mile on the treadmill.  Big whoop. It's been a VERY long time since running a full ten minutes on the treadmill. But what the coolest part was, it was at my old sprint time.

Love seeing progress!!!

The morning...

Over break, I was able to spend most days seeing my man. It was great!

Because his house is being rented, he stays with his parents over break...so I got to hang out with them when he went to work. Could have been awkward, but it wasn't.

I found that each morning I was able to begin my day slowly...reading, drinking coffee, and spending some good quality time with God.

I notice that this slowness seems to happen solely on the weekend...Monday thru Friday calls for a quicker pace that I forget about on Saturday and Sunday. And even more, when I visit him I his neck of the woods (he's finishing up his pharmacy degree), my normal workout on Saturday mornings doesn't happen, but the early morning quiet does.

It's hard sometimes to come to grips with not having the physical workout that my body needs, but right now, my soul is so thankful...

The goals...

Spiritual
Reading the Bible more...currently I read a bit each night with Nate.
Read three books that will challenge and grow my faith.

Physical
Maintain my weight.
I'd like to drop 1 to 2 percent body fat. No, I won't be obsessive, but it's definitely something I'd like to do.

Educational
Read one book that will challenge me professionally.
Blog once a week for my parents.

Relationally
Contact my family more often.
Balance my relationships.
Write my compassion kids.

Fun
Complete a pin a week.  I'm going to create a pin it, did it board and hopefully get 52 by the end of the year.
Read 25 books. I keep track on shelfari. Contact me if you want to follow me on my reading progress.

What are your goals?

New year, new word

2013 started off great with trust.  And I can definitely say that God brought and is continuing to build my trust.

Which brings us to 2014.

One goal that keeps coming up is being intentional with others. Caring for others, letting them know how much they mean to me, listening to them.  Being present and connected with family.

So, here's my word...

Building is an action. I need to be proactive. It will not happen by chance.

Join me on a year of building.
