I notice...

Today as I was driving back from my school, I reflected on the day.

Listening to Bohemian Rhapsody takes me back to Wayne's World and the head-banging event in the car.

A hug (or two or three) from a friend in the grocery store is healing for the soul.

Laughter from a car ride with three other co-workers invigorates the soul and reminds me that laughter is necessary!

Asking for help is okay. Receiving help is even better.

Unpacking is not fun. I always come home with more than when I left. However, I think I came home with more than just books. My brain, soul, and heart are overflowing!

Taking the time to notice feels good. Music in particular wakes up memories.

OMG! My dad and I used to rock out to that song in the car...air guitars and all. Music and smells always make me wake up and notice.

First of all I have to say I love the background of your blog. It is a beautiful setting for your writing, especially this post. I love how you created small moments with just a few words: the car, the store, time with colleagues. Well done.

I am definitely finding that I am noticing and reflecting a lot more since I am trying to write every day. It is helping me stay focused on the moment. Thanks for sharing...

I love the way this month of slices pushes me to pay closer attention to what's going on around me. And I love the image of three hugs in the grocery store!
