In our word study block, I was going to have the kids make a list of action words so we could look at what happens when you add endings to them. I told the kids that these action words are called verbs and could anyone give me an example? One of my students said, "A plant."
Hmmmm...tell me more.
You know, "Verb the plant. You cook with it."

You mean herb...not verb!
